Travel outfit diaries | Italian vacay part 2
Part 2 of sharing the outfits from my dreamy, delicious, mostly Italian vacay. Did you miss Part 1? Go see that too! Let's look at what I wore for the second leg of my trip — Positano, Capri, Matera, Alberobello, and Rome.
Day 8: Positano + Capri
I've done this outfit before on this trip. But hey, when you travel for more than 2 weeks, you tend to repeat outfits. Today we did a boat trip to Capri. Ah, swimming in the ocean is one of my favorite things I have ever done.
Day 9: Positano > Matera
Last day in Positano gahhh. I dressed comfy for a final stroll along the beach + the car ride to Matera. Have I mentioned how much I am in love with Madewell? I love most everything they make and the quality is SO good.
Day 10: Matera
OMG Matera is so beautiful! I was so inspired to dress all artsy in this beautiful place. How beautiful is this linen dress tho?! I really like layering a tshirt under a dress, note to self to do it more often.
Day 11: Matera > Alberobello
Another Madewell day! This photo is probably my most favorite photo of me EVER. I am also finally convinced that I CAN indeed pull off a hat. Also, how freakin beautiful is Alberobello? I took a shit ton of photos here both days. LOVE!
Day 12: Alberobello
Today was a fun outfit day. I bought this dress 2 months ago and have worn it perhaps just once. I love the idea of romantic clothes but in all honesty that's not me, so I end up not wearing them that often. But today I styled it with a tshirt and sneakers to make it more casual, and I kinda love the result.
Day 13: Alberobello > Rome via Bari
This was gonna be the day of a 4 hour train ride. I dressed up pretty casual. Nothing super special, but definitely appropriate.
Day 14: Rome
Time for another shirt dress. Love this denim dress from...you guessed it, Madewell. I am so happy to find a brand that fits so well with my idea of who I am stylistically at this point in time. I pulled my hair into a bun for the morning, and then threw on a hat for the evening.
Day 15: Rome
You know what the coolest thing about a blazer is? You can throw it on the most casual outfit and it's suddenly classed up. Rome = a lot of walking. One needs to be comfy for a lot of walking, and this outfit is definitely comfy. But also kinda cute, yes?
And then it was back to LA! Ah, this was such a dreamy vacation. I am pretty happy with my outfits and achieved my goal of comfy but put together. What do you guys think?
